However, his passion for the world of wine resulted in the creation of Matarromera Winery, located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, and where Moro Carlos began his particular dream. With the creation of this company, personal and professional life of Carlos Moro changed drastically.

After Matarromera many other wineries were created, as Valdelosfrailes, in Cubillas of Santa Marta (Valladolid), or Rento, located in an old house where the Marquis de Olivares lived by the sixteenth century and which became a Jesuit convent afterwards.

The creation of Emina Wine Interpretation Centre in Valbuena de Duero was a revolution in the national wine scene: Apart from a spectacular wine cellar with an avant-garde architecture, it was also created a wine museum and an oenotouristic complex that catapulted Emina as the first reference in the region.

In recent years Matarromera has been completed with the arrival of Emina Medina del Campo Winery, and Cyan (Toro) in Valdefinjas.
